Nurtured on the clay soil of the Apennine foothills and well-ventilated by dry breezes from the Adriatic Sea, our Montepulciano grapes are grown with the utmost respect for the region’s biodiversity and spectacular natural heritage. Handpicked during the last two weeks of October, they lend the wine its unique, ruby red colour and deep purple edging that, over time, mellows to a sensuous garnet hue.
This full-bodied wine with a dry, slightly tannic finish, also boasts an intense bouquet, from which arises hints of red berries and warm spices. Ideally suited to roasts and red meats, our Montepulciano is low in sulphites and is prepared using no animal derivatives. The result is a wine that effortlessly combines modern viticulture practices with local communities’ winemaking traditions.
