Our wine is crafted from heritage Primitivo grapes that are grown and hand harvested in Puglia, Southern Italy. Famous for its deep, dark red and garnet shades, Primitivo can trace its lineage back thousands of years, and the region’s past is inextricably bound to its production. By developing the wine following eco-sustainable and ethically responsible practices, we honour the tradition, legend and shared cultural heritage that ties the grape to local communities.
With its complex nose offering up gentle hints of plum and its velvet-smooth, full-bodied flavour, this Primitivo benefits from a masterful compromise between modern viticulture practices and historical expertise and understanding. Ideally served with roast meats, red meats, and mature cheeses, our wine is low in sulphites, and no animal derivatives are used in the fermentation and ageing process.
